ABOUT US

WE ARE BREEDERS YOU CAN TRUST

Our journey as breeders started over 20 years ago on the land breeding Border Collies as working dogs. We no longer live on a farm but our passion for breeding is still alive and strong.  Since 2017 we have been registered with the MDBA and breeding pedigreed French Bulldogs on the Gold Coast, Australia. As experienced breeders, we know the importance of health and temperament.  Our breeding program is a small scale in home passionate hobby and our main purpose for breeding is to improve this beautiful breed's health.  Research confirms that extreme brachycephalic features and screwtails dramatically increase the risk of breathing and spinal problems.  Therefore, our puppies are bred to be more moderate featured which is reflective of what the breed looked like just less than a hundred years ago.  We love and breed all colours and patterns, but health is always our first priority because we want our dogs to have the best life possible.

Our dogs are much adored members of our family and our puppies are well socialised before they leave us. We worm our puppies at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks. Microchipping and first vaccinations are done at around 6 weeks along with a puppy health check by a qualified vet.  Pups are ready to leave for their forever homes when they are 8 weeks of age.  Most puppies are independent and ready to go at 8 weeks, however, if your puppy is making a journey interstate or overseas, they may need to be a few weeks older.

We xray, Respiratory Function Grade (RFG), health screen and DNA test our breeding dogs.  We are proud to say that nearly all our breeding dogs have clear breathing and perfect RFG scores (Grade 0) meaning no Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS) has been detected. RFG scoring was developed by the University of Cambridge as a tool for breeders to minimize the risk of BOAS in their progeny. Whilst RFG does not completely eliminate the incidence of BOAS, we have noted since using the RFG system, a dramatic decrease in puppies affected by BOAS. Furthermore, we guarantee our puppies against developing the hereditary diseases screened for on Orivet's French Bulldog DNA Testing Panel, including the newer added tests of ADAMTS3 (airway oedema) and Cystinuria Type 3.
